Following the successful recruitment of first aiders at many other stadia, the charity is inviting Norwich City Football Club supporters to step forward to join St John Ambulance and volunteer at the Carrow Road Stadium during home games.

Successful applicants will join experienced first aiders and healthcare professionals as part of a big team to keep everyone safe.

St John Ambulance will provide volunteers with free training, free refreshments at the game and during training, free uniform, reasonable travel expenses and, of course, there will be no admission costs to the games when undertaking first aid duties. Volunteers may also be able to attend some away games with St John Ambulance.

The key requirements for joining will be two days of mandatory training, followed by attending as many home games as you can, and helping to save lives and care for those in need. All successful applicants will additionally need to pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and provide references before they can be accepted into the group.

An initial recruitment day will take place in Norwich on Sunday 9 June. Anyone interested in joining St John or finding out more about this should attend this event and also ensure that they are free on the training days on Saturday and Sunday 20 and 21 July.

Those interested in this opportunity who wish to book a place on the 9 June recruitment day can do so by emailing NorwichCity@sja.org.uk before Thursday 6 June.
